Community Guidelines
Geeks && is a safe and inclusive space for developers and geeks to share ideas, get inspired and build community. These guidelines make sure everyone feels safe and welcome at our events.
- Everyone belongsWhatever your background or skill level — first-timer or regular — you're welcome here.
- Zero tolerance for harassmentWe do not tolerate harassment or abuse of any kind.
- Safe spaces onlyWeapons and illegal substances are not permitted at our events.
What counts as harassment
Harassment includes, but isn't limited to, offensive verbal or written comments related to gender, age, sexual orientation, disability, physical appearance, body size, race, religion, social class, economic status or veteran status.
It also includes sharing sexual images, deliberate intimidation, stalking, following, brigading, doxxing, harassing photography or recording, sustained disruption of talks or events, inappropriate physical contact and unwelcome sexual attention.
If what you're doing is making someone uncomfortable, that counts as harassment — and that's reason enough to stop.
Enforcement
Anyone who acts inappropriately will be given a one-time warning or banned from future events, depending on severity.
